Peggy and John Joe Breen
"Our lovely neighbours. spent many a day helping john joe with the hay and turf and even making the big ditch across the road where the old house was. He taught us the right way and no other way would do. John Joe had to do things right or not at all. Myself and Kathleen were his apprentices in those days. others were too young. Peggy looked after us well with her lovely brown bread and red jam". Cyedonia Rice
